- 02.03.2010: The first Boeing 777F was deliverd to China Cargo Airlines on 27th February. China Cargo operated their first commercial flight to Luxembourg on 2nd March 2010. The Boeing 777-F6N will replace the McDonnelle Douglas MD-11F. B-2076 arrived in Luxembourg at 15:30 local and departed again at 18:50 the same day.




- 08.02.2010: Boeing 501 Heavy took off at Paine Field at 12:39 PST. Nice to watch. Next stop Luxembourg. The aircraft will be back at Paine Field at about 4:39PM GST.


- 07.02.2010: As announced on Friday by Boeing, the new Boeing 747-8F will operate its maiden flight on Monday 8th February. Of course only if weather permits. The first taxi tests have already been performed on Saturday.

- 23.01.2010: The 131 passengers and 6 crew members on flight LG712 from Teneriffa had to endure a quite bumby landing at Luxembourg Airport. The pilots of LX-LGT, the new Boeing 737-800, declared an emergency around 17:30 (local) during landing as the flaps did not correctly extended. The refore the landing had to be performed at full speed. The passengers were safely evacuated after firefighters had cooled down the brakes. As it was mentioned the day after, LX-LGT already experienced problems during the flight to Teneriffa. It had to abort the first landing attempt, but landed then without any problem. The aircraft is currently in maintenance, obvisously.

21.01.2010: The incident happened  on Thursday 21.01.2010 at 12:53 (local). Cargolux flight CX0793, LX-OCV, from Barcelona was on final and was cleared for landing on runway 24, when one of the tires went trough the roof of a van parked on the runway. During that time the weather was very foggy and RVR was only 350m. Nobody was hurt, but the van and the tire received substantial damage. The van was parked on the runway because a team was performing maintenance work at the runway ground lighting. Investigations have been initiated. Two days later LX-OCV was again in service.


- 17.01.2010:
Luxair recieved in December 2009 its 4th Dash Q400, LX-LGE. It entered operations in January 2010. The fifth Dash has been ordered.
