- 13.06.2010: Coming back from an Airshow in Sweden (Malmö), the Breitling Apache Jet Team (1-7) made a fuel stop this evening and continued to their home base. Before landing they were allowed to make a nice fly-by.

- 08.06.2010: The first Boeing 747-8F in the new Cargolux livery left the Hangar at Everett Airport.

Lux-Airport announced that the airport will stay closed until Monday 19.04.2010 12:00 local.

The airport stays closed on Sunday 18.04.2010.

All about Icelands volcano Eyjafjallajökull during the last days. As most European airports, Luxembourg Airport is closed down since 16th April 2010. Tomorrow (18.04) the airport remains closed.

Transport Minister issued a press release (17.04) mentioning that about 10'000 passengers are stranded abroad (Canaries, Egypt, etc...) and have to be brought back to Luxembourg. Luxair alone is unable to manage that number of passenger in short terms, therefore Luxair considers leasing other aircrafts to bring them back to the South of Europe and than continue by bus.

- 13.03.2010: On 11th March a DC-8 in basic UPS colors arrived in Luxembourg. This 40 year old aircraft operated a flight for Murray Air (MUA155) and departed again on 13th March around 13:00 local.

- 07.03.2010: Finally the new Luxair Boeing 737-800, LX-LGT, was seen in sunny conditions departing on runway 06. The 737-800 was delivered to Luxair on 24th November 2009 and will start official operations on 31st March 2010.

- 02.03.2010: The first Boeing 777F was deliverd to China Cargo Airlines on 27th February. China Cargo operated their first commercial flight to Luxembourg on 2nd March 2010. The Boeing 777-F6N will replace the McDonnelle Douglas MD-11F. B-2076 arrived in Luxembourg at 15:30 local and departed again at 18:50 the same day.

- 08.02.2010: Boeing 501 Heavy took off at Paine Field at 12:39 PST. Nice to watch. Next stop Luxembourg. The aircraft will be back at Paine Field at about 4:39PM GST.
- 07.02.2010: As announced on Friday by Boeing, the new Boeing 747-8F will operate its maiden flight on Monday 8th February. Of course only if weather permits. The first taxi tests have already been performed on Saturday.

- 27.02.2010: Two nice aircrafts were present on 27th February in Luxembourg. The first one was a Kuwaiti Government Gulfstream G-V, 9K-GFA and the second one a Cabo Verde Guardia Costeira Dornier Do-228, D4-CBK.

- 23.01.2010: The 131 passengers and 6 crew members on flight LG712 from Teneriffa had to endure a quite bumby landing at Luxembourg Airport. The pilots of LX-LGT, the new Boeing 737-800, declared an emergency around 17:30 (local) during landing as the flaps did not correctly extended. The refore the landing had to be performed at full speed. The passengers were safely evacuated after firefighters had cooled down the brakes. As it was mentioned the day after, LX-LGT already experienced problems during the flight to Teneriffa. It had to abort the first landing attempt, but landed then without any problem. The aircraft is currently in maintenance, obvisously.
- 21.01.2010: The incident happened  on Thursday 21.01.2010 at 12:53 (local). Cargolux flight CX0793, LX-OCV, from Barcelona was on final and was cleared for landing on runway 24, when one of the tires went trough the roof of a van parked on the runway. During that time the weather was very foggy and RVR was only 350m. Nobody was hurt, but the van and the tire received substantial damage. The van was parked on the runway because a team was performing maintenance work at the runway ground lighting. Investigations have been initiated. Two days later LX-OCV was again in service.
- 17.01.2010: Luxair recieved in December 2009 its 4th Dash Q400, LX-LGE. It entered operations in January 2010. The fifth Dash has been ordered.
