- 28.11.2007: During midday Carpatair operated a flight from Turin (TRN) to Luxembourg, then to Timisoara (TSR). Flight 8P261 arrived on 13:10 (local) and left again on 13:30. The aircraft used was a Fokker 100, YR-FKB.

- 01.11.2007: Today Qatar Amiri Flight operated two flights through Luxembourg. The first one, A7-HHH (Amiri 1), an Airbus A340-500, arrived on 31st October in the evening and departed on 1st November around 12 o'clock to Liège. The second one, A7-AFE (Amiri 6), an Airbus A310-300, arrived later in the afternoon. A7-AFE is a brandnew aircraft for Qatar bought in July 2007 from Emirates. (ex. A6-EKL)
- 20.10.2007: Luxair had today their Open Day and it was possible to take a flight with one of the new Dash Q400. After taking off at runway 06, we flew direction Echternach, then over Mersch, back to the Castle of Vianden. After passing the lake of Esch-Sur-Sûre the pilot took us southbound over Capellen, Pétange an back over the City of Luxembourg to the Airport. The flight took approximately 40 minutes at an altitude of 2000m. -->

GIRjet's Boeing 747-200, EC-KEP, is currently parked at P1. It will leave Luxembourg on Sunday 21.10.

CSA operated a Charter flight (OK7162) from Munich to Luxembourg this afternoon with an Airbus A321, OK-CEC. It will stay until tomorrow 11:00 (local) when it flies back to Munich.

- 19.10.2007: Today Cargolux LX-PCV was spotted at the P7 parking in an all grey scheme. Currently the Boeing 747 is not wearing any Cargolux titles anymore. It came back after a check in Amsterdam.
- 18.10.2007: TAROM operated on 17th and 18th October two flights for the Roumanian football team. On 17th October YR-BGE operated the flight RO7385 from Constantza, and on 18th October YR-BGA operated the return flight RO7386 to Bucarest.

- 07.10.2007: A busy Sunday at Luxembourg Airport. Icelandair Boeing 757-200, Scandinavian (SAS) MD-87 (OY-KHU), followed by an OzJet Boeing 737-200 (G-GPFI) and Welcome Air Dornier-328 Jet (OE-LJR).
In adition two RAF Eurofighters are still present at ELLX. They arrived on Friday for a WW II Commoration during the weekend. One Eurofighter (the second one was grounded due to technical problems) performed a pass over Weiswampach during the ceremony on Saturday morning at 10:30.
At 10:55 in the morning Luxair's Boeing 737-700 (LX-LGR) made an emergency landing due to some engine problems during landing. Luxair flight 602 came back from Palma de Mallorca. The aircraft landed safely and nobody was injured. The technical issue has been resolved.
- 22.09.2007: First flight for Qatar Airways Cargo to from Doha to Luxemburg. A7-AFB arrived at 15:42 (local) at Luxembourg Airport. Qatar will operate a flight every saturday with their Airbus A300.

- 21.09.2007: LX-LGW, Luxair's Embraer ERJ-145, arrived this evening in the new Luxair livery. It's the second Embraer that has been repainted.

- 21.09.2007: A surprising visitor made today a midday stop in Luxembourg. A KLM Boeing 747-400 (PH-BFU) to Amsterdam landed at about 10:15, and departed again around 2 o'clock in the afternoon. If this wasn't surprise enough a second KLM, this time a Fokker 70 (PH-KZN) made a short stop in the late afternoon.

In the afternoon also a Gemini Air Cargo DC-10-30 (N606GC) landed and is staying at LUX until tomorrow morning.
- 17.09.2007: In response to the grounded SAS Dash, some replacement flights to Copenhagen were operated by Atlatic Airways. They used their Avro BAe-146 OY-FJE on 12.09 and OY-RCW on 17.09.

- 12.09.2007:Due to two incidents in 4 days (09.09 at Aalborg & 12.09 at Vilnius), SAS announced today that they grounded all their 33 Dash Q400 for the time being. On 9th September 2007, LN-RDK, made an emergency landing in Aalborg during which the right main gear broke down. Nobody was injured. And this morning again at Vilnius a Dash Q400 had to made an emergency landing because of main gear problems.

All Dash Q400 flights from Luxembourg to Copenhagen have been cancelled until further notice.
- 05.09.2007: This evening at LX-LGD, Luxair's third Dash Q400, landed at Luxembourg Airport. "Luxair 1" flew from Toronto to Goose Bay and then via Reykjavik to Luxembourg. LX-LGD will start its operations on 17.09.2007 to London City four times a day as LG4591, LG4593, LG4595 and LG4597.
- 29.08.2007: Today Luxair got back their Embraer 145, LX-LGZ, in the new Luxair livery. After its arrival it was well hidden in the hangar but this evening they pulled the aircraft out. Unfortunaley the aircraft was very bad parked and it wasn't possible to get a clear shot.
On the right photo a major difference to the Dash livery can be seen. The supposed 3D effect on the tail has gone. So this is the new new Luxair livery. Maybe the next one will be different again, who knows...
- 23.08.2007: Interesting traffic today at Luxembourg Airport. A Jett8 Cargo Boeing 747-200 (9V-JEA), a Europe Airpost Boeing 737-300 in new colors (F-GUFE), Irish Air Force with their Beech Super King, a L-39 Albatros (RA-1909K) and a very rare (in Luxembourg) Beech 18, N8495A.

17.08.2007: A Junker's Ju-52, D-AQUI, from Lufthansa was present at Luxembourg Airport and performing several flight over Luxembourg. Flights LH8811, LH8812, LH8813 & LH8814 were performed during the whole day.
On 18.08, the Junkers will do some more flights in Luxembourg, before returning to Koblenz in the afternoon.

- 29.07.2007: Again good news for Luxembourg. Another Cargo Airline will start it's opertation in Luxembourg. Starting from 1st August 2007, Yangtze River Express, will operate a flight on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. For this route their new Boeing 747-400, B-2431, will be used. Arrival times to be confirmed.
- 20.07.2007: Since 1st July 2007 Luxembourg has a new cargo airline operating the routes Manchester – Luxembourg – Dubai. Jett8 Cargo Airlines, Singapore’s first all Cargo airline, operates these routes with their one and only Boeing 747-200F, 9V-JEA.
Jett8 arrives twice a week in Luxembourg, Thursday and Sunday. Flight JX802 arrives at 11:30 and leaves (same flight number) 13:10. (local times)
- 18.07.2007: Yesterday (17.07) I went to Belgium for the Kleine Brogel Spotters' Day 2007. In addition to the manoeuvers and the Operation Integration Exercise (from 16.07-18.07) they also celebrated 20 years of the F-16 Operation Conversion Unit (OCU), created in 1987. One of my first pure military events and definitely not the last one. An eardrum killing experience -->

Newspapers report that Emirates are building up a route between Luxembourg and Dubai. Maybe the rumors, going aroung for some time, may become true.
- 17.07.2007: Sweden's Skyways Airlines are going to start their dayly flight from Luxembourg to Stockholm on 10th September 2007. They will use either Fokker 50 or BAe 146. In addition as from 28th September on, Iceland Express will open a route between Luxembourg and Reykjavik with their MD-90 for a test period of 2 months.

- 05.06.2007: Today the new Radar at Luxembourg Airport has been officially inaugurated. With this, Luxembourg Findel is the first civil airport operating a radar based on military technology. It is in operation since 13th April 2007. The faith of the old radar has not been decided yet.
- 04.06.2007: Special event for today's passenger arriving at 17:05 from Porto on flight LG3764. The captain of the Boeing 737-500, LX-LGP, was performing his last flight before retirement. Entering the Parking P1 two firefighter trucks awaited the aicraft for a water canon salute.
- 02.06.2007: Today several holiday charter flights have been operated. Two Corsair airplanes, F-HCAT, Airbus A330 and a second one which is delayed until late tonight. In addition an Air Nostrum and a Welcome Dornier arrived this evening. Air Atlanta's TF-AMD was seen with a new "Operating for Cargolux" Sticker.
Cargolux LX-NCV will be back tomorrow (03.06) after a 40 Day D-Check at Amsterdam Schipol. After -FCV, -GCV, -MCV and -OCV, LX-NCV is the fifth aircraft wearing the new Cargolux livery.
First visible constructions of the new Cargolux Maintenance Hangar appear next to the Radar. The Hall will measure 200m x 90m and 42m in height.

- 31.05.2007: Luxairs first Dash Q400 arrived today at 16:51 in Luxembourg. The aicraft, enroute from Keflavik (callsign "Luxair 001"), was already wearing the LX-LGA registration. Pilots asked for a "low pass" which was unfortunately denied by Airport Direction. The aircraft will remain in the Luxair Hangar until next week's official press presentation. First operation to Frankfurt will be on 11.06.2007.

- 30.05.2007: Luxair announced on 17th May
during their Press Briefing, that the first Luxair Dash Q400 will arrive on 31th May 2007 in Luxembourg. LX-LGA is painted and waiting the departure from Downsview (Ontario, Canada). Departure is planned for Monday or Tuesday. The aircraft will travel via Keflavik and should land between 12:00 and 14:00 in Luxembourg.

- 24.05.2007: Today was the official visit of President Putin, his wife and a 250 member strong delegation. High security measure were put in place around the airport and the city with 700 police officers and Putin's security personnel. On 20.05 an Il-76 arrived already to bring the President's cars and motocycles.

Putin left Luxembourg around 21:00 (planned for 19:30), and the last aircraft, the Ilyushin Il-76 (RA-78830) at about 22:30.

- 23.05.2007:Homepage Update: Due to some problems with my old Guestbook I had to change it. With this the design an some functions changed too. Unfortunately the time for every message was reset. All the Messages (incuding information provided) have been kept as in the old one.
- 20.05.2007: Today afternoon an Il-76 from Russia's 223rd Flight Unit arrived in Luxembourg. RA-78830 is used by the Russian State to make preparations and delivering cars and motocycles for the upcoming visit of President Putin on 24.05.
- 18.05.2007: Newspapers confirmed that President Putin will arrive on 24th May 2007 in Luxembourg for an official visit. From 23.05 24.05 he will be in Austria and arrive in the morning of 24th in Luxembourg.

Arnaud JOPPIN for the following (sad) news: Luxair's Embraer-145 LX-LGV departed on the 20th of March 2007 to the United States for it's last flight under Luxair registration (thanks to
Claude SCHMIT for the correct ferry date). The aircraft has been spotted in Nashville, Tenessee (USA) on 4th April 2007 with it's new registration
N138DE. It has been sold by Luxair to a U.S. owner due to the arrival of the new Dash Q400 later this month. It is the first of 4 Embraer (2x 145 & 2x 135) which will be sold. Bye Bye...
- 27.04.2007: Very special visitor at Luxembourg. This Antonov An-22 from Antonov Design Bureau (UR-09307) arrived today for the second time this week at Luxembourg Airport. Rare to see this bird here.
- 26.04.2007: Luxemburgish newspaper report that the first Luxair Dash Q400 will arrive on 30.05.2007 and the second one some weeks later after The Bourget Show in Paris. The third Dash should arrive in September 2007. The first Dash will start their operations to Frankfurt on 11th June 2007 and replace the Boeing. The second one will operate the flight to Paris and the thirs to London-City. As announced the Dash will wear a new Luxair livery, but how it will look like is still unknown. First Dash should be LX-LGA.
- 23.04.2007: Special visitor today for the EU Meetings. The Russian Minister landed in the late afternoon with their Russia State Transport Company Ilyushin Il-62 (RA-86540).
- 22.04.2007: Official visit of Czech Minister in Luxembourg. He arrived in the early afternoon with an Airbus A319-115X (2801).
- 16.04.2007: Today arrived Juan Carlos, the King of Spain for an official State visit in Luxembourg. He and his wife will stay until Wednesday afternoon.

- 25.03.2007: As announced by Scandinavian Airlines they are going to use their Dash Q400 for the evening flight from Copenhagen to Luxembourg. But surprisingly one day before the start of their summer schedule they used a Dash 8 LN-RDE today evening.
Starting from tomorrow (26.03.2007), SAS will use on the evening flight (arrival at 16:50, departure at 17:20) their Dash. For the remaining flight the Canadair Regional Jets are still in use.
- 24.03.2007: A Belavia Belarusian Airlines charter is currently in Luxembourg waiting for the Belarusian Football Team. They leave tonight at 21:15 as BRU8508 to Minsk. The aircraft used was a Boeing 737-524, EW-250PA.

- 21.03.2007: Cargolux announced that I ordered 3 more Boeing 747-8F in addition to the 10 already ordered. The aircrafts will be delivered bewtween 2012 and 2014.
- 12.03.2007: Surprising and interesting traffic at Luxembourg airport on Monday morning. Again an Australian registered aircraft visited Luxembourg, VH-SSZ. New Bombardier BD-700 LX-ZAK arrived and first visit of a Boeing 747 of Jade Cargo (B-2440). Starting from today Jade Cargo will operate once a week a flight between Shenzhen and Luxembourg on Monday morning arriving around 5am and departing at 9am (local time).
Austrian Arrows used again a Dash Q400 (OE-LGJ). Last visit of an Austrian Arrows Dash Q400 was OE-LGH on 12.03.2003 arriving from Vienna via Strasbourg.

- 17.02.2007: EI-DGM, new Ukraine International Boeing 737-4C9 arrived at Luxembourg airport for a maintenance check. Already having the Ukraine International painting, it still has the Blue Panorama Airliens registration. In 2004 the Boeing was sold to Blue Panorama by Luxair (LX-LGG), in December 2006 then sold to Ukraine International Airlines. The aircraft will stay for 2 more weeks at Cargolux maintenance during which it will receive it's new registration UR-GAV.

- 13.02.2007: A Boeing 767-300 from Ghana International Airlines arrived at Luxembourg airport for it's A-Check at Cargolux maintenance. TF-LLA landed in the afternoon and should stay at Luxembourg airport until Saturday 17.02.
- 03.02.2007: First Operation for the new Air Atlanta Boeing 747-400 in Luxembourg. TF-AMO, aquired from Asiana (ex HL7422), operates for Cargolux International Airline. Photo of TF-AMO with Cargolux Sticker.
- 18.01.2007: Heavy storms over Europe. One of the heaviest storms since 1999 began in the early afternoon with wind speeds of about 30 knots. During midday and late evening wind speed reached 39 knots with guts of 45-48 knots. At Luxembourg Airport several flights were cancelled and almost every flight was delayed up to 2 hours.
A big applause goes to the pilots of a Luxair Boeing 737-700. LX-LGR arriving from Paris on Thursday morning, flight 8012, had to make 2 approaches, due to heavy winds, to get the plane on the ground at 09:50.

- 04.01.2007: As the Government announced today, the construction of the new Terminal A is going to be finished only in April 2008, instead of October 2007. The delay is caused by a new EU security regulation, which forces the addition of new security material worth 4 million euros.
